BOTANICAL FOLK is semantic play with music based strictly on floral score that follows what’s undiscovered and kept only in the artist’s musical memory. Botanical folk requires the listeners to conscientiously and actively interpret the music. The subtlety of botanical sound is without doubt challenging to interpret as it has its own acoustic space based on macro and micro sound events.
The sound of wooden fiddle blends in perfectly with plant tissue, creating an exceptional musical structure. As the instrument is hugged and bowed hypnotically, it makes it up to nature for the resources consumed during the manufacturing process. Botanical folk draws its rhythm from tranquillizing oberek, it blends with tenderness and delicacy of the artist. It does not scrape – it lulls, it does not rock – it provokes thoughts, it does not thrill – it soothes, allowing the listeners to daydream away.

„SNY PANNY Z WANNY” (DREAMS OF THE BATHING LADY) is a solo album created in 2017. The project is a combination of violin music, electroacoustic music and field recordings. This pleasant to the ear folk drone was created using flora and ethnic instruments. Botanic soundscape, floral score, free composition and never transcribed improvisation. Folk experiment that goes beyond the schemes of „muzyka odnaleziona” (discovered music). The dreamy musician guides her guests through successive audio kingdoms of private dreams built upon neuropsychological musical memories. Everyone is welcome to capture these fantasies and shape them to their liking. Why „the bathing lady”? It’s hard to say, perhaps dreams need scented water and juniper berry oil to sprout.
